Google Search Volume Continues To Grow in 2012

Here is a great chart courtesy of Business Insider (SAI) showing a major leap in search for Google. What this say is that Google continues to grow and is starting to get searches that it never had before. More that 3 billion searches a day.

I imagine a ton of the search is research based. I mean how many times have you heard you friends and family talking about a topic and someone in the group decides to just "Google It" for the answer. Not only that with smartphones basically tied to our hands and the major search engine of choice is of course Google.

Also if we start thinking about social and just the impact of Google+ users that might be where the spike may have come from. As of June 2012 there are now more that 250 Million Google+ users according to Wikipedia.

No matter what the reason the growth cannot be ignored and I am sure we will continue to see staggering numbers for the search giant and it expands even more internationally but focuses locally.
